Fauzi shared that through activities like this, students are encouraged to develop a habit of eating fish as part of their daily meals.

“Fish is rich in nutrients. By consuming fish, children are expected to grow healthy and smart, and avoid stunting,” he said on Tuesday (8/26).

He explained that to welcome the Golden Indonesia era, a healthy and highly competitive generation is needed. One key factor is nutritious food intake.

“The nutritional intake must be good and balanced. The Gemarikan program can improve the nutritional value for our children,” he added.

Head of East Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency, Taufik Yulianto, added that the Gemarikan program will continue to be intensified to create a healthy and smart generation.

“This year, we target the Gemarikan campaign to reach 1,500 students. Similar activities are planned at SDN Utan Kayu Selatan 05 and SDN Cibubur 11,” he revealed.

Headmaster of SDN Lubang Buaya 13, Yayu Sri Rahayu, expressed appreciation and gratitude to East Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency for holding the Gemarikan campaign at the school.

“All of our students received education and ate fish together at school. Hopefully, the children will increasingly enjoy eating fish,” she said.

Meanwhile, a 10th-grade student at SDN Lubang Buaya 13, Felisia Aini Putri, said she was very happy to participate in the event.

“The event was fun, we got to eat fish together, there was storytelling, and we even got door prizes,” she shared.
