Jakarta Social Agency Head, Iqbal Akbarudin, said the distribution of PKD social assistance is part of the Jakarta Provincial Government's commitment to ensuring the survival of vulnerable communities in reducing the burden on society, especially for the elderly, young children, and people with disabilities.
"Hopefully this assistance can ease daily needs while improving beneficiaries life quality," he said, Tuesday (8/26).
He explained that for new beneficiaries in 2025, the process of opening accounts and distributing ATM cards to 38,958 people is currently underway until August 30, 2025.
Iqbal stated that recipients of KLJ, KAJ, and KPDJ social assistance must be registered in the Integrated Social Welfare List (DTKS). However, the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs has currently closed the DTKS registration feature, as the DTKS has been transformed into the National Integrated Socioeconomic Data (DTSEN), thus eliminating DTKS registration.
According to him, all residents are registered in the DTSEN according to their welfare level. The determination of social assistance recipients will be based on welfare status rankings/deciles.
If it is found that the decile in the DTSEN does not match the factual conditions or is not yet in the DTSEN or there is no decile in the DTSEN, the data will be updated while awaiting further policies from the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs and the Jakarta Provincial Government.
"The Jakarta Social Agency will continue to strengthen data validation to ensure targeted and transparent assistance distribution," he stated.
