As reported before, there was no one injured in a fire incident that hit a Transjakarta bus plying corridor V (Kampung Melayu- Ancol) at UI Salemba Bus Shelter, Friday (7/3). The incident that occurred around 8.45 AM is allegedly caused by electricity short circuit.

Operational Section Head of Central Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescuing Sub-Department, Muchtar Zakaria said, at the first time, the fire burned gas and compartment machine which installed at the back of the bus and spread to the front and then burned all over the bus body.
"Temporary allegation, the fire is caused by electricity short circuit at car starter dynamo, because it was burned in the off position that would heading to the Salemba Bus Stop. I get this information from bus driver, Udin Purba," told Muchtar, Friday (7/3).
