Jakarta Deputy Governor, Rano Karno, Tuesday (9/2), received the entry meeting document for the Preliminary Audit for Semester II of 2025 from the Indonesian Audit Board (BPK).

The inspections to be conducted include the Performance of Tuberculosis (TB) Eradication and Compliance with Regional Original Revenue Management, Management of Regional Assets, PT Bank DKI Operations, and PT Jaktour Operations of 2024-2025.

"Representing the Province of Jakarta, I welcome the holding of the entry meeting held by the Audit Board," Rano said.

Rano added that the previous audit focused on financial audits and management of regional assets (BMD), but this time the audit also covers the performance of TBC completion.

According to him, the eradication of TB has also become a priority for Indonesian President Prabowo. Then in a meeting with the Minister of Home Affairs, it was revealed that the TB case rate in Jakarta was quite high.

Therefore, according to Rano, this examination result will also serve as a barometer of his staff's performance in handling TB. The resulting report can then be used as evaluation material for service improvements.

Rano advised the ranks of SKPD and BUMD to optimally prepare the data and information needed by the BPK audit team, as well as provide good support, explanations and assistance so that the audit process can run smoothly.

"I hope the audit goes smoothly and produces beneficial results. This will allow the Jakarta Provincial Government to maintain its WTP opinion and continue to provide the best for Jakarta residents," he stated.

The Head of the BPK Representative Office for Jakarta Province, M. Ali Asyhar, explained that the audit will be divided into two stages, namely a preliminary audit, and a detailed audit.

According to Ali, the audits are divided into two categories; thematic and non-thematic. Thematic audit covers compliance with BMD management for 2014 and 2025, PAD management for 2025, Bank Jakarta operational compliance for 2024 and 2025, PT Jaktour operational compliance for 2024 and 2025, and the performance of TB handling efforts.

Meanwhile, non-thematic audit includes compliance with infrastructure capital expenditure management, as well as compliance with non-infrastructure regional expenditure management for the 2025 budget year.

Ali emphasized that this inspection is not intended to find fault, but rather to assess compliance in order to encourage performance and provide constructive recommendations.

"After a detailed inspection we will draw a conclusion whether it complies with the applicable rules and regulation," he stated.
