This inauguration was done after all repairs at the station were completed, including some facilities inside.

He explained, the name change to "Jaga Jakarta" aims to remind everyone that incidents of vandalizing public facilities should not happen again.

Repairs Complete, Senen Bus Stop Ready for Inauguration

"We have  to jointly protect Jakarta, thus this incident does not happen again, I, along with the City Hall team, have decided to transform the Jakarta Central Bus Stop into Jaga Jakarta," he expressed.

This name change was made as a reminder for all residents to work together to protect Jakarta. The effort to protect Jakarta cannot be done by the government alone, but also all parties.

On this occasion, Pramono also expressed his gratitude to all Jakarta residents for their participation and mutual cooperation in restoring Jakarta's condition after the demonstration. He also ensured that all transportation services in Jakarta and their fares have now returned to normal.

The improvement of this damaged public facilities and infrastructure also received assistance from the Ministry of Public Works (PU) under the direction of President Prabowo Subianto. The PU Ministry of PU, said Pramono, would help repair the Pedestrian Bridge (JPO) and lifts at Senen Station and Polda Metro Jaya, which are targeted to be completed by December.

"So, they (PU) are working on the bus stop related to the elevator and pedestrian bridge, while the bus stop itself is fully handled by the Jakarta Government and of course Transjakarta," he uttered.

At this Jakarta Jaga Bus Stop, a memorial has also been built to remind the public that public facilities such as Transjakarta stops belong to all Jakarta residents. The presence of this memorial also plays a role in preserving Jakarta.

The memorial displays several damaged facilities that were previously installed at the shelter, as a result of a protest a few weeks ago. These damaged facilities included a tapping gate, an LED TV, and fans.

"Hopefully, with that memorable event, we and the President Director of Transjakarta are reminded that at this place, an incident once occurred that we hope will never happen again," he uttered.

Transjakarta President Director, Welfizon Yuza added, currently, all Transjakarta bus stops are back to normal operation. People's activities have also resumed well. This is evidenced by many people returning to use Transjakarta for their mobility.

"On the last working day of last week, Transjakarta customers reached 1.3 million people per day, indicating that Jakarta's mobility and economy have fully recovered," he added.

As information, Jaga Jakarta Bus Stop is completed with adequate functional facilities, such as toilets, prayer rooms, and stalls for MSME. Additionally, it is provided to connect Senen Toyota Rangga Bus Stop with Jaga Jakarta Bus Stop, so passengers do not need to tap out.
