Governor Confirms Full Restoration of Jakarta's Transportation Services

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has confirmed that all transportation services in the city have now returned to normal. He also stated that the repairs to all previously damaged Transjakarta bus shelters have been completed.

"As of today, all transportation services in Jakarta have returned to normal,"

"As of today, all transportation services in Jakarta have returned to normal, including the bus shelters at Polda Metro Jaya, Mandiri, and Istora. All are fully operational again. Fares have also returned to normal," he stated on Monday (9/8).

Pramono emphasized that the Jakarta Provincial Government remains committed to ensuring a sense of safety and comfort for all residents.

Regarding the city's public transportation infrastructure, Pramono shared that Jakarta now ranks 17th out of 50 cities worldwide in a global survey conducted by Time Out, a reputable international survey institution.

In Southeast Asia (ASEAN), he noted, Indonesia ranks just below Singapore, and ahead of other major cities such as Kuala Lumpur, Manila, and Bangkok.

"Time Out surveyed public transportation systems across 50 countries, involving 18,000 respondents, and Jakarta ranked 17th. In ASEAN, we're just behind Singapore and ahead of cities like Kuala Lumpur, Manila, and Bangkok," he explained.

Pramono expressed his delight at the survey results and encouraged the public to work together in maintaining Jakarta's public infrastructure.

“Hopefully, we can take better care of Jakarta and improve its ranking beyond 17th,” he said.
