The Jakarta Provincial Government is bringing back the special Rp1 public transportation fare program to celebrate National Transportation Day and National Road Traffic and Transport Safety Day 2025.

"Through this Rp1 fare, we want to encourage more residents to try public transport services,"

This special fare will be applied on September 17 and 19, 2025, from midnight to 23:59 WIB.

During this period, all users of Transjakarta (BRT, non-BRT, and Transjabodetabek), LRT Jakarta, and MRT Jakarta can enjoy a flat fare of Rp1. Passengers are still required to tap in and tap out using electronic cards or apps, but only Rp1 will be deducted from their balance.

Jakarta Transportation Agency Head, Syafrin Liputo, said this program is a form of appreciation from the Jakarta Provincial Government for residents who have supported the use of public transportation.

"Through this Rp1 fare, we want to encourage more residents to try public transport services while celebrating National Transportation Day and Traffic Safety Day in a spirit of unity," said Syafrin on Tuesday (9/16).

He also encouraged people to take this opportunity to switch to public transportation and reduce private vehicle use. He emphasized that using public transportation can help ease traffic congestion and lower emissions in Jakarta.

"We invite everyone to have a positive experience in taking public transportation. This program is expected to encourage people to make public transportation their go-to choice," he pointed out.
