The North Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency has noted that 20,329 damaged roads with a total area of 102,395.29 square meters have been repaired from January to September 2025.

We will keep monitoring and patrolling the roads

North Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency Acting Head, Hananto Krisnawardono said, repairing damaged roads is a routine agenda to provide safety and comfort for the community, especially for drivers.

"This follows up on residents' aspirations reported through the JAKI application and the results of field officers' monitoring," he expressed, Monday (10/13).

4,072 Damaged Roads in Central Jakarta Have Been Repaired

He detailed, the roads that have been repaired in January 2025 totaled 1,451 points covering an area of approximately 5,940.762 square meters; in February, there were 1,375 points with a total area of 2,444.285 square meters; and in March, only 454 points covering 722.9 square meters.

Then, in April, there were 1,066 points covering 5,631.17 square meters; in May, there were 1,292 points with a total area of 23,820.425 square meters; and in June, there were 1,466 points covering 18,133.95 square meters.

"In July, 1,373 points reached 18,921.14 square meters; in August, 972 points reached 14,469.94 square meters; and in September, only 880 points reached 12,310.73 square meters," he explained.

In every repair, his party used quick patching with the coldmix method. Meanwhile, for moderate and severe damage, hotmix was used for patching.

He added, the damage is mostly caused by age, heavy rainfall, high-tonnage vehicles, and construction excavations, resulting in many small potholes.

He hoped that this could prevent potential accidents, and passing drivers would feel more safe and comfortable.

"We will keep monitoring and patrolling the roads because our principle is not to wait for community complaints before taking action," he asserted.

This work received appreciation from a factory worker employee in Cilincing Sub-district, Sulaiman (48).

"As residents, we will certainly help maintain what has been fixed by the officers," he said.
