Muhammad Al Fatih DPRD DKI mendukung pembangunan Jembatan Cincin Donat Dukuh Atas

Council Supports Construction of Cincin Donat Bridge at Dukuh Atas

Jakarta City Council Commission B Member, Muhammad Al Fatih fully supports the construction of the pedestrian deck track, known as the "cincin donut," in Dukuh Atas area, Central Jakarta.

We fully support

He stated, it is expected to become a hub for various public transportation modes such as MRT, LRT, train, airport trains, and Transjakarta. Hence, pedestrian access must be made as efficient and comfortable as possible.

"First, principally, we fully support every effort by the Jakarta government to strengthen the concept of Transit Oriented Development (TOD), including the construction of pedestrian bridges with circular designs in Dukuh Atas area," he expressed, Tuesday (10/14).

Dukuh Atas 'Donut Ring' Project to Break Ground Soon

Even so, he once directly conveyed during a working meeting with MRT Jakarta about the distance between LRT and MRT at Dukuh Atas which reaches approximately 250 meters. That distance is quite difficult, especially for the elderly and people with disabilities.

In addition, the uncovered connecting routes cause users to get wet in the rain or feel hot when switching modes of transportation.

"Things like this must be considered in the design of the 'Donut Bridge' so that the TOD concept is not only visually appealing but also truly functional and user-friendly," he explained.

Further, he pushed for the pedestrian pathway to be equipped with moving walkways or travelators inside the connecting corridor, thus the distance between modes of transportation can be covered more easily without sacrificing comfort.

Thereby, his party will conduct regular supervision and evaluation of this project, both in terms of timeliness, budget accuracy, and compliance with TOD technical specifications.

His party wants to ensure that the City Budget (APBD) allocated truly results in infrastructure that improves accessibility, safety, and comfort for residents as the main users of public transportation.

"We support this project, but urge that the integration function and comfort become the top priorities, not just design or aesthetics," he closed.
