Channel's Retaining Wall on Jalan Taman Cosmos Being Repaired

The West Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency (SDA) repairs the water channel's retaining wall on Jalan Taman Cosmos, RW 07, Kedoya Utara Urban Village, Kebon Jeruk Sub-district.

Hope it can be finished on time

West Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Officer, Budi said, repair is done, as residents felt that the retaining wall was aligned with the access road and there were several sinkholes.

"In September 2025, some parts also collapsed due to tree roots," he expressed, Wednesday (10/22).

He explained the retaining wall measuring 154 meters long, three meters high, and 50 centimeters wide was repaired using cobblestone to strengthen the structure of the retaining wall further.

"We sent 15 workers and an excavator to execute and speed up it," he explained.

He aims to finish this by November 2025, but workers experienced some difficulties when it rained because the water flow increased.

"Hope it can be finished on time. The work progress has touched 60 percent so far," he hoped.

This work received appreciation from the local resident, Yunus.

"Thus far, the work is very good and neat, and the parts that have been completed and repaired also look very sturdy," he said.
