Stationary Pump in Petamburan to Be Revitalized

Pramono explained that the Jakarta Provincial Government keeps dredging channels and rivers in the last three months to minimize flood risk.

According to him, Jakarta Provincial Government has 600 stationary pumps that are placed in flood to prone areas. Moreover, mobile pumps are also prepared to face local and flash floods.

"Local flooding, flash flooding, or tidal flooding caused by high tides combined with rain require extra careful handling. Hopefully, even if flooding does occur, it can be resolved within three to six hours," he stated.
