Vice Head of Jakarta Transportation Department, Pargaulan Butar Butar instructed Pulogadung Terminal Head to arrange and install fare announcement on the ticket counters of Pulogadung Terminal, East Jakarta, regarding many otobus companies (PO) have increased the fare. Whereas, there is still no official decree about extra charge. 

Each counter is supposed to install fare announcement. If not, citizens would be confused which bus they are going to ride

All the announcements are expected will be installed today or Thursday (7/9), when observation and checking conducted interruptedly, ranging from vehicles, bus crew health, until urine and narcotic tests.

"Each counter is supposed to install fare announcement. If not, citizens would be confused which bus they are going to ride. If it is installed, they will choose, based on their financial condition," said Butar Butar, when he held a sudden inspection at Pulogadung Terminal, Wednesday (7/8). 

His department appealed that all bus ticket transactions must be done at counter and not be billed on the bus as anticipation of fraud and brokering. 

However, he added, special for executive bus fare increment was set by bus PO, by prioritizing upper and lower limit fare. Except for economy bus, its fare should be based on the Decree of Communications Ministry, that is planned to be announced on the upcoming Friday. 

Hengki Sinaga, (40), one of the PO Jaya caretakers, with route Jakarta-Ponorogo stated the fare announcement is purposely not being installed yet due to there is still no official decree from the government. Yet he also claimed, the armada fare had been increased. Its increment will keep ongoing gradually until the peak of homecoming flow on D-3. 

"AC economy bus fare was been increased yesterday. As for Ponorogo destination, it's currently Rp 270,000 that previously only Rp 220.000," explained Sinaga.
