Ramadhan, Illegal Terminals Began Rampant in South Jakarta

Approaching Idul Fitri, the number of homecomers in the capital is getting crowded. It can be seen from increase in the Intercity-Interprovincial (AKAP) bus that impacts on the emergence of illegal terminals in some locations in South Jakarta. 

To anticipate traffic congestion, we dispatch some officers around the illegal terminals

The existence of those terminals are caused by the closing of Lebak Bulus Terminal where part of its land used as construction of Mass Rapid Transit (MRT)'s depot.

AB Nahor, Head of Supervision and Controlling Section for South Jakarta Transportation Department recorded as many as 5 points of illegal terminal are detected during Ramadhan. They are located in Pasar Minggu, Veteran Bintaro, Jalan Kapten Tendean, around Pasar Jumat and Jalan Ciputat Raya Pondok Pinang. 

7,923 Buses Prepared for Homecoming Period

"To anticipate traffic congestion, we dispatch some officers around the illegal terminals," he said, Monday (6/29).

Relaying on beritajakarta.com observations, there are 15 counters of Octobus Company (PO) opening ticket counters. Not only that, the AKAP buses with various destination to Central Java and East Java are also parked on the ex-land of gas station (SPBU).
