Again, Jakarta Cycling Sport Branch Wins Medals at POPNAS

The cyclist athlete won back three gold medals and one bronze for the Jakarta team at the National Student Sports Week (POPNAS) XVII at the Jakarta International Velodrome (JIV), Pulogadung, East Jakarta.

Three gold medals and one bronze today

Three gold medals were won by the trio of Fadhil Abyoso, Ezra Maulana, and Fauzan Azima in the men's team sprint event. Then, the trio of Jihan Sabina Sacheri, Fahda Aaqilatul Fikriyah, and Keiko Hendranata competed in the women's team sprint event. Finally, Keiko Hendranata participated in the women's scratch race.

Meanwhile, the bronze medal was won by Muhammad Adji Bayu Pamungkas who competed in the men's scratch race event.

Jakarta Wushu Grabs Gold at POPNAS 2025

Jakarta's Cycling Team Branch Manager, Julio Yusuf, felt grateful for today's achievement. In every performance, Jakarta's cyclists had given their all.

"Alhamdulillah (thank God), this is the optimal result we could achieve. We collected three gold medals and one bronze today," he expressed, Wednesday (11/5).

He hoped that today's achievement could motivate other athletes to perform better. Thus, they would be more enthusiastic to win medals and bring pride to Jakarta.

"Hope they can perform at their best so they can achieve success in the remaining events," he hoped.
