S. Jakarta Mayor Urges Newly Inaugurated Officials to Perform Well and Uphold Integrity

South Jakarta Mayor Muhammad Anwar gave a direct briefing to newly appointed officials in the South Jakarta administration.

"As public servants, we must be ready in any situation,"

He stated that the briefing aimed to align prospective and future steps in serving Jakartans, particularly those in South Jakarta.

"Position transfers and promotions are normal and necessary for organizational needs. Never feel superior or powerful because of a position entrusted to you. Conversely, don't feel demeaned if your position changes," he said at Gelatik Utama Room, South Jakarta Mayor's Office, on Thursday (11/6).

Anwar explained that several key points were emphasized in this briefing, including the importance of integrity and accountability. Other aspects included adapting to duties, responsibility, innovation, service efficiency, teamwork, collaboration, and a result-oriented mindset.

"I believe that all of you are selected individuals with qualifications and integrity to carry out this responsibility," he expressed.

Anwar also reminded them about the current conditions, especially regarding environmental cleanliness, flooding, fallen trees, and other issues that must be handled promptly by all government elements.

"As we know, South jakarta has recently experienced frequent flooding and fallen trees. Therefore, I am instructing the team to conduct thorough tree pruning and respond promptly to residents affected by disasters," he asserted.

He added that all personnel must fulfill their duties properly, based on their primary functions and in compliance with relevant regulations, to ensure optimal public service.

"As public servants, we must be ready in any situation while remaining cautious. Work within legal frameworks and service boundaries, and never violate the rules," he said.
