MRT Project Still Reaches 30 Percent

Although it is constructed since the end of October 2013, PT MRT Jakarta General Director, Dono Boestami explained that the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) project from Lebak Bulus until Bundaran HI along 16 kilometer only reached about 30 percent currently.

"I expected the project only reached 20 to 25 percent now because we only reached compose (first floor) excavation project and casting it," told Boestami, Thursday (7/9).

He added, especially at Bundaran HI Station, the first floor excavation project has reached 400 meter length and four meters deep in each block with an area of 25 square meters.

Lebak Bulus MRT Railway Project Still Waiting Buildings Demolishment

So far, his side has also been working on foundation demolition, landfill, concrete culverts installation, land hoarding on the west and east side of culverts, foundation installation for pillars, road widening, excavation for ground base and drainage, strut and waller installation, and casting roof for underground station.

As known, the MRT project will be held for 5 years from 2013 until 2018. As many as 13 stations will be built including 7 elevated stations on the line of 10 kilometers and 6 underground stations along 6 kilometer. This project is expected to use Rp 16 trillion budgets at least.
