He mentioned that the guarding personnel have also been reminded to remain alert, including ensuring that portable pumps are in good condition to avoid issues during operation.
"These steps are taken to minimize the risk of flooding and to ensure the readiness of personnel and equipment to face this year's rainy season," he explained.
Pekayon Urban Village Secretary, Karwadi expressed, the standby post at the urban village office yard has been operating every day. There are 10 joint personnel on duty from 7:30 PM until early morning.
"Every 11 PM, they also join the police to conduct a security operation at the vulnerable points in Pekayon," he explained.
In Pekayon, there are two flood-prone locations, namely Jalan Harmed in RW 07 and Jalan Eri Sutrisna RT 01/04, which are close to the sub-district office.
To support preparedness, the post is completed with three fiber boats donated by BPBD and Jakarta Social Agency, five ring buoys, disaster hotspot maps, and an emergency contact list.
Additionally, important numbers such as ambulance services, the national alert post, Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat), electricity disturbance services, police, SAR/Basarnas, and natural disaster posts are also posted at the station as quick reference guides during emergencies.
"The post also provides the phone numbers of duty officers that residents can contact at any time," he concluded.
