Central Jakarta Satpol PP Ready to Secure Christmas and New Year Celebrations

Hundreds of Central Jakarta Satpol PP personnel will be deployed to support security during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year celebrations.

Central Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Purnama, said the personnel deployed for these events will be assigned according to need.

He revealed that security for the 2025 Christmas celebrations will focus on several major churches, including GPIB Immanuel and the Cathedral Church.

"Seventy-five personnel will be deployed to secure several major churches that serve as community gathering points," he explained on Wednesday (11/19).

He added that 200 personnel assigned at the city level, as well as across eight sub-districts and 44 urban villages, will conduct area patrols to assist in securing other churches.

"The patrols aim to maintain order and safety during worship activities, with mobile teams providing comprehensive monitoring," he mentioned.

He noted that 310 personnel will also be deployed to secure New Year's Eve at several locations likely to attract large crowds.

"Security in Central Jakarta will be supported by Jakarta Satpol PP. If there is a shortage of personnel, immediate coordination will be made to maintain a safe situation," he asserted.
