The Jakarta government responded quickly to information circulating on social media regarding a leaking embankment in Mutiara Beach area, North Jakarta.

It is built gradually with priority given to densely populated areas and those at high risk of coastal flooding.
She furthered, until now, the 390-meter embankment had been completed, while 530 meters are in the bidding stage for work in 2025–2027.
"This effort is a manifestation of the government's commitment to ensure the safety of residents, protect residential assets, and prevent socio-economic losses caused by tidal flooding," she continued.
She added, the Jakarta government ensures that construction and repair of embankments are strategic steps to realize a safer and more resilient Jakarta in facing climate change.
"With this accelerated handling, hopefully the protection for coastal residents will be more optimal so that the area can be spared from the risk of tidal flooding in the future," she closed.
