Revitalization of Pramuka Island BWRO Facility Completed

The revitalization of the Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis (BWRO) facility on Pramuka Island, North Seribu Islands, finally completed. This project aims to optimize the facility’s operations to ensure sustainable clean water services for locals.

Meeting the community's daily water needs

Seribu Islands Clean Water and Waste Section Head, Rezky Arie Pranata said, the project reflects a broader effort by the Seribu Islands Regency administration to upgrade basic services and boost the quality of life for islanders.

It aims to optimize the BWRO facility's function to ensure it can support sustainable clean water services for the community,” he stated, Monday (12/22).

He explained that the project commenced on October 1, 2025, and was completed on schedule by December 20, 2025.

“The work, executed by a third party, was funded by City Budget (APBD) amounting to Rp 789,336,523,” he clarified.

According to him, the renovation covered the maintenance of the main RO installation, structural and architectural repairs, painting, utility upkeep, and structural adjustments tailored to the facility's current on-site requirements.

"With the completion of this revitalization, it is expected that the quality and reliability of clean water services on Pramuka Island will improve, particularly in meeting the community's daily water needs," he added.

He added, the project is slated for further expansion to other islands in the Seribu Islands to provide wider benefits for the entire community.

This revitalization received appreciation from the RW 04 Chairman, Panggang Island Urban Village, Titin.

As a lifeline for clean water on Pramuka Island, she added, the newly upgraded BWRO facility is expected to serve the community optimally and sustainably.

"We are thankful that this project has reached completion. Our hope is for a more reliable and higher-quality water supply for the residents in the future," she stated.
