South Jakarta Satpol PP is about to deploy 468 personnel to secure the Christmas Mass at 89 churches.

Head of South Jakarta Satpol PP, Nanto Dwi Subekti said security is focused on the area around the church, both at the entrance and exit and access for congregation vehicles.

"Our personnel are divided into two shifts, morning and evening. They are tasked with securing the church, specifically from today until tomorrow night," he said, Wednesday (12/24).

Nanto explained that although securing the Christmas Mass is an annual routine, his party still emphasized the importance of thorough preparation.

"This readiness includes sufficient personnel, cross-agency coordination, and evaluation of security implementation in previous years," he explained.

In addition to being equipped with communication equipment and operational vehicles, personnel are also advised to be prepared for potential extreme weather. Therefore, personnel are asked to prepare supporting equipment such as umbrellas and raincoats.

Nanto appealed all South Jakarta Satpol PP personnel to provide the best service by continuing to cooperate with elements of the National Police, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), and community organizations around the church.

"The presence of personnel is expected to provide a sense of security and comfort for the community in carrying out Christmas worship," he hoped.
