Traffic Engineering Applied Due to Facility Work at MH Thamrin Bus Stop

Jakarta Transportation Agency is about to apply traffic engineering related to the facility improvement work at MH Thamrin Bus Stop pedestrian bridge, Jalan MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta.

Head of Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo said traffic engineering is applied to support the smooth running of work while maintaining the safety of road users around the project location.

"The precise location is between Bawaslu and Sarinah Buildings," he said, Wednesday (12/24).

He explained that traffic arrangements will be implemented in stages according to the work stages. On December 12-15, 2025, the existing Aluminum Composite Panel (ACP) will be dismantled on the west and east sides from 10 PM to 4 AM. Furthermore, the safety deck will be installed on both sides from December 14-20, 2025, at the same times.

The work then continued with the installation of Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) on the west and east sides on December 18-23, 2025. The casting of the elevator structure on both sides is also carried out at night on December 18 and 23, 2025.

Meanwhile, steel erection work is scheduled to take place on January 10-11, 2026, starting at 10 PM to 4 AM.

"During the work process, there will be a gradual reduction in one lane of traffic according to the needs at each stage," he stated.

According to him, the company implementing the work is fully responsible for the safety and security of road users, both motorized and non-motorized vehicles, around the construction site.

"Road users are advised to avoid these road sections and to adjust to the established traffic arrangements, obey traffic signs, instructions from officers in the field and prioritize road safety," he appealed.
