Pramono memberikan keterangan pers di JPO Pesanggrahan, Jakarta Barat

Residents Urged to Use Public Transport to Reach New Year's Eve Venues

The Jakarta Provincial Government will extend public transportation services until 2 AM to help residents easily reach various New Year's Eve celebration venues.

"There will be no parking spots around Bundaran HI to prevent traffic buildup,"

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung mentioned that eight venues have been set up for the 2026 New Year's Eve celebrations, with the Bundaran Hotel Indonesia (HI) as the main celebration point.

"There are several points around Bundaran HI, but the key point is that public transportation will operate until 2 AM, with all services running normally until then," Pramono stated at the Pesanggrahan pedestrian bridge (JPO) in West Jakarta on Tuesday (12/30).

He noted that public transportation will be made available and no parking zones will be enforced near Bundaran HI to help ease traffic and prevent congestion.

"There will be no parking spots around Bundaran HI to prevent traffic buildup," he asserted.

Therefore, he urged the public to take public transportation to reach the venues.

"We suggest that those planning to go to Bundaran HI, Kota Tua, Lapangan Banteng, or FX Sudirman use public transportation. Our services are now very reliable, and we highly recommend taking advantage of them," Pramono advised.

Governor Pramono, Vice Governor Rano Karno, and Forkopimda officials will also take part in the celebrations at Bundaran HI.

"The Jakarta Provincial Government has designated eight venues, but the main location, which will be attended by Forkopimda, the Governor, Vice Governor, DPRD, TNI, police, and others, is Bundaran HI," he said.
