Ridership reached 185,895 on the first day and 140,477 on the second, reflecting a 7.59% rise from the 303,345 passengers recorded the year before.

"The goal was to provide more access for people attending events along the MRT Jakarta route," said Rendy on Saturday (1/3).

He added that, in addition to adjusting operating hours and fares, MRT Jakarta also prepared for crowd management by deploying more staff, increasing card stock, and ensuring ticket scanners were ready at stations.

"This ensured smoother, safer, and more comfortable mobility for passengers during the New Year period," he noted.

Rendy also shared that MRT Jakarta has developed safe and comfortable public spaces around stations that have become popular destinations during holidays, such as the Blok M Hub.

Between December 31, 2025, and January 1, 2026, Blok M Hub welcomed 145,855 visitors. He mentioned that transit-oriented and inclusive development around stations is drawing more people to explore the city.

"This growing interest is driving an increase in public transport ridership, especially for MRT Jakarta," he emphasized.
