W. Jakarta will Hold Sudden Inspection for Price Observation

Sudden inspection is planned to be held in some traditional markets in West Jakarta. The inspection which involves Satpol PP, Army, and Police aims to observe prices of basic needs ahead of Idul Fitri.

"Tomorrow we will hold sudden inspection to observe item prices and also give convenience for customers in fulfilling their basic needs for Idul Fitri, such as prevention of harmful ingredient foods, etc," said Assistant of Economic and Administration for West Jakarta Administration, Monday (7/13).
One of products focused in the inspection is beef that currently its price reaches Rp 120,000 per kilogram.

As, the company of beef supplier owned by the government has held market operation program in 5 areas in Jakarta.
"We still sell beef by Rp 85,000-Rp 89,000 per kilogram. We also have provided 150 tons of beef for Idul Fitri," she told.
She suspected, the hike of beef price at the latest days due to beef importer company detain it.
"We cut beef everyday, when we ask the peddlers directly, they complained it is detained by importer," she explained.
