The Seribu Island residents seemed enthusiastically welcoming low-price meat bazaar held by Jakarta Marine, Agriculture and Food Security Department yesterday, Sunday (7/12).

Acting Regent of Seribu Island Regency, Budi Utomo acknowledged the effort must be held annually .

“Hopefully, not only subsidized meat, but also other staple foods,” he hoped, Monday (7/13).

Meanwhile, Head of Food Security for Jakarta Marine, Agriculture and Food Security Department, Sri Haryati conveyed the effort was aimed to ease citizen in getting quality beef and chicken to consume.

“This is a form of local government intervention in an attempt to make food product keeps stable,” she enlightened.

On the other hands, the subsidize given for Seribu Island was amounted to 1,384 beef and chicken. While the total number of meat in folk market reached 36,437 kilograms beef and 19,350 chicken.
