250 Janitors Ready to Clean Trash on Idul Fitri Eve

Central Jakarta Sub-dept. of Cleanliness will deploy 250 janitors on Idul Fitri eve as an effort to anticipate trash pile up.

Those janitors are spread to several areas in each sub-district and protocol roads such as Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan and Jalan MH Thamrin.

“We will conduct gathering roll call (apel) at mayor office on D-1  to ensure officer readiness on Idul Fitri eve,” said Head of Central Jakarta Cleanliness, Marsigit, Tuesday (7/14).

Aside that, his side will vacate disposal site a day before Idul Fitri.

"The effort aims to accommodate trash maximally on the first and second day of Idul Fitri,” he uttered.

Moreover, picket system will be applied to janitors. "Picket system for janitors is divided into two shifts. It means, still there is a janitor standby to transfer the trash,” he disclosed.
