Reporting Potholes Just Got Easier with Jakarta’s New Hotline

Jakarta is staying on top of road repairs, with the Public Works Agency hitting the ground running to fix field damage.

Every report received will be addressed immediately 

To nip road hazards in the bud, the city has opened multiple reporting platforms for the public. Whether through the JAKI app or the official 021-3844444 hotline, the government is making it easier for residents to flag road issues and ensure a safer commute for everyone.

Data and Information Center Head, Siti Dinarwenny stated that this hotline is accessible via both phone and WhatsApp to allow residents to file reports on the double.

"We hope this hotline serves as an effective platform for the public to play an active role in maintaining traffic safety and commuter comfort in Jakarta," she expressed, Friday (1/30).

The agency expressed its appreciation for the public’s proactive involvement, noting that resident reports are vital in fast-tracking repairs on the ground.

"Every report received will be addressed immediately to ensure that road damage does not put motorists in harm’s way," she added.

His agency has deployed maintenance teams and specialized crews across every district to keep a close watch on the city’s streets. Every hazard found is fixed immediately to nip potential accidents in the bud.

To further protect drivers, crews are setting up warning markers and lines at damaged sites to help the public steer clear of danger.

"Right now, we are implementing quick-fix emergency patches due to the rain. But, as soon as the skies clear, we will move forward with permanent hot-mix asphalt repairs that are built to stand the test of time," she explained.

In the wake of recent heavy rains, the Public Works Agency is hitting the ground running to fix potholes and damaged roads in all five administrative cities. Personnel are keeping a close eye on the streets with regular patrols, ensuring that infrastructure is restored to shipshape condition for commuters.
