August, 14 Connecting Channels and 2 Dams in East Jakarta Dredged

Due to often get flooded, as many as 14 connecting channels and 2 dams in East Jakarta will be dredged in the upcoming August. All the dredging is targeted will complete in the upcoming October.

There are total 14 connecting channels and 2 dams dredged. We target the dredging will complete in the upcoming October

Head of East Jakarta Water Management Sub-Department, Ahmad Yazied Bustomi stated, those connecting channels are Bekasi Tengah Irigation Channel, Cipinang River, Cibening Connecting channel in Rawa Bebek. Then, Cakung River in Penggilian which flowing to Cakung River Drain. Next, Sentra Primer, Pulomas Utara, Warung Jengkol Rawa Terate connecting channels. As for 2 dams dregded are Rawa Badung and Aneka Elok Dams.

"There are total 14 connecting channels and 2 dams dredged. We target the dredging will complete in the upcoming October," he stated, Monday (7/20). 

August, 3 Reservoirs in North Jakarta Dredged

5 out of 14 connecting channels dredged flowing to Ria Rio Reservoir. They are Pulomas Barat, Pulomas Barat, Pulomas Utara, Pulo Nangka, Pulomas Timur and Tanah Mas 1 connecting channels. Those five channels also overflow the residential which is the track area. Even, Pulomas Barat connecting channels, formerly fused flowing crossing in Kampung Ambon. 

"Mostly the depth of the dredging reaches 1-1.5 meter. Thus it is expected could be able to reserve much water debit during rainy season. The dredging uses heavy equipment thus it would be done faster," he closed.
