153 Illegal Buildings in Sunter Agung Torn Down

As many as 153 illegal buildings on Sentiong Buntu Riverbank, precisely in RW 01 and RW 02 Sunter Agung Urban Village, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, Tuesday(4/28), demolished by Satpol PP. After the demolition, the river will be dredged and widened for decreasing flood effect during rainy season.

The demolition which was lead by Tanjung Priok Sub-District Vice Head, Mat Nasir went conducive. As almost 80 percent of the owners' building have torn down their own building. The demolition was also not using excavator due to narrow road. 

60 Buildings In Pegangsaan Dua Torn Down

"Almost 80 percent of the owners' building have torn down their own building. Alhamdulliah (thank God) it went conducive as we have repeatedly held socialization," said Tanjung Priok Sub-District Vice Head, Mat Nasir. 

The demolition involved 75 personnel of Satpol PP from Tanjung Priok Sub-District which was helped from 7 Urban Villages. 

"The residents tore down their own building as the building material could be used to rebuild in another place," told Sunter Agung Urban Village Head.
