A number of markets in Central Jakarta still looks not operate optimally after celebration of Eid-ul Fitr. Based on beritajakarta.com observation, Serdang Market in Kemayoran and Senen Market are still look deserted from shoppers.

According to Lilik (45), a fruit trader in Serdang Market, the number of shoppers has begun decrease since takbiran night or Thursday (7/16) night. Even at 1 and 2 days after Eid, she preffered not to sell because there were almost no shoppers coming into the market.
"Maybe the trading activity will be normal on upcoming Sunday (7/26), because the shoppers and traders will come back from their hometown," told Lilik, Tuesday (7/21).

Ahmad (42), a Senen Market trader said, this condition occurs because many traders are going to their home town and the citizens still not come to the market because they still has food stock.
"So, I only sell a few items because the shoppers are not too crowded," said Ahmad.
