Ahok to Discuss Brawl Cases with City Police

High brawl cases in Jakarta seize a serious attention of Jakarta Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama. Therefore, Ahok decided to coordinate with Jakarta City Police in order to minimize brawl case in Jakarta that has reached 57 cases throughout this year. 

Today , I will hold a meeting with Chief of Jakarta City Police. All officers will be summoned, then we will discuss what the position is

"Today, I will hold a meeting with Chief of Jakarta City Police. All officers will be summoned, then we will discuss what the position is," said Ahok, at City Hall, Tuesday (7/28). 

Most Cases of Brawl Detected in East Jakarta

According to the data of Jakarta City Police, the most brawl cases found in East Jakarta that is about 26 cases, and then followed by South Jakarta 13 cases, West Jakarta and Central Jakarta each 8 cases, North Jakarta 2 cases. 

In Central Jakarta, the case often happens in Johar Baru. Even, 40 armed police officers have been dispatched in 4 prone-brawl areas in such area. 

Those prone-brawl areas are Jalan Rawa Sawah Intersection or Jalan T, Jalan Jembatan Besi, Jalan Kampung Rawa Selatan and Jalan Jembatan Tinggi.
