133 Fire Cases Occurred in W. Jakarta Throughout January-July 2015

Apparently, the fire is still a serious threat for West Jakarta residents. How it could not be, along January-July 2015, as many as 133 fire cases have hit eight sub-districts in West Jakarta. The material loss is reaching Rp 61 billion.

The cause of the fire is dominated by electrical short-circuit with 99 cases, followed by gas stove explosion, cigarette end and trash burning activity.

"This year, as many as 133 fire cases with material loss of Rp 61 billion hit West Jakarta," told Head of West Jakarta Fire Management and Rescue Sub-Department, Pardjoko, Wednesday (7/29).

Fire Hit Lorong 103 Koja Lokbin

He furthered, most of the fires occured in Cengkareng Sub-District, and followed by Kebon Jeruk and Tambora.

"Kapuk, Cengkareng Timur, and Duri Kosambi Urban Villages are categorized as a densely populated area which prone to fire," he reported.
