155 Fire Cases Recorded During Ramadhan to Eid-ul Fitr

The number of fire case in capital increased during Ramadhan until Eid-ul fitr. Evidently, as much as 155 fire cases hit capital.

On the same period last year, number of fire cases in city merely 79 cases with total loss of Rp 15.6 billion

Section Head of Empowerment and Public Participation for Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Department, Abdul Chair acknowledged from the total number of 155 fire cases have caused material loss worth Rp 43.8 billion.

52 Fire Incidents Occured During Homecoming Period

"On the same period last year, number of fire cases in city merely 79 cases with total loss of Rp 15.6 billion," he said.

According to him, this increasing fire cases due to lack of socialization from stakeholder in urban village to sub-district level. Whereas socialization must be conducted intensively to resident to stay alert of fire threat.

Based on that matter, he hoped that all related institution concern about this case in conducting their responsibility and duty. Moreover, each sub-sectors had given the knowledge to prevent and handle fire case.

"Keep synergize each other. Socialization must be conducted from provincial level to story-buildings, sub-department and sub-sector in urban village/sub-district area," he stated.
