Ahok Entrusts MRT's Land Compensation to District Court

Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T Purnama opted to take consignment way or entrusting compensation of the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) project to the district court. The way is taken as many residents are still reluctant to release their land.

Indeed there is a problem, we’ve talking about that before. There is an existing local regulation so we gonna deposite to district court

“Indeed, the land acquisition is hampered, we’ve talked about that before. There is a government regulation thus we will entrust this to the district court,” he said, at City Hall, Friday (7/13).

MRT Project Applied International Safety Standards

Ahok added the nominal of paid land was set by the appraisal team. Its nominal exceeds the taxable value of property (NJOP). “The land price is set by appraisal team, thus we ask for the approval of the district court, where the money would be entrusted to them," he expressed.

Nevertheless, the MRT project will keep going. Considering, the land acquisition problem only happens in several locations. But for the underground project still continues to this day.

“The project cannot be stopped. If there is an approval from district court, we will do our further plan,” he asserted.

The underground project that was set in Hotel Indonesia (HI) Roundabout-Blok M has been entered drilling phase. “The construction is still ongoing. Everything is on the schedule,” he disclosed.
