2015 Hackjak Competition Begins

To create Jakarta as a smart city, Jakarta Provincial Government is holding the competition of 2015 Hackjack competition today, Sunday (8/2). This second time competition is divided into three categories, namely hackathon, scrapathon, and visualthon.

The competition opens today until August 9, while scrapathon competition only held until 5 PM

Awrago General Director, Karina Kusumawardani said the hackathon category is a competition of making an application for smartphone or on the desktop, thus it can be used by Jakarta government and citizen.

Then, the visualthon is the graphic competition that converts data to be more readable and understandable by community. Lastly, scrapathon is a category to converts data from PDF format into CSV.

City to Hold App-Making Competition

"The competition opens today until August 9, while scrapathon competition only held until 5 PM," said Kusumawardani, Sunday (8/2).

She added, the event is participated by 119 teams consisting of 3 people, hackathon competition by 86 teams containing of 2 people. As for the Visualthon, participated by 6 teams.

"Judging phase will begin on August 10 and continued with awards on August 18. This year, we take theme public service and tourism," she uttered.
