Djarot Wants KJP Abuser to Be Jailed

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat was furious finding out that Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) is used for karaoke, fuel and other non-education necessities. 

There have been so many finding. So, we will revoke the card as the sanction, even they could be jailed

Even, the former Mayor of Blitar wants the parents' students of KJP holder to be jailed if they are proven still misusing the card. "There have been so many finding. So, we will revoke the card as the sanction, even they could be jailed," he asserted, at City Hall, Monday (8/3). 

Djarot stated that the misuse of KJP cannot be tolerated anymore. Considering, the social aid fund is from community fund which is in City Budget (APBD). "The perpetrators should be severely punished," he asserted. 

KJP Abusers Deserve to Be Imprisoned

He also assessed, the misuse could be categorized as fraud thus the perpetrators could be jailed. If such misuse keeps happening, it will harm the needy proteges.

"Besides karaoke, the KJP fund also used for fuel up to Rp 700,000 for car. Even they use it for household equipments. It has gone too far," he expressed. 

He also told he had instructed Jakarta Education Department to track the card holders who do non-education transaction. Not only that, they also instructed to tighten the supervision and requirements for giving KJP. 

"I've already instructed to track the KJP holders, how could it be misused. The owners can be students but the users are the parents," he closed.
