Gambir Tax Service Unit Needs to Boost Revenue Against Deadline

The Gambir Local Tax Service Unit only received Rp 34 billion or 32 percent out of tax revenue target Rp 168 billion. The land and building tax final payment is August 31.

Head of Gambir Local Tax Services Unit (UPPD), Nur Ahdiyani, explained that letter of warning had been sent to tax payers since July 27 ago. Those who received the letter are PT Pertamina, Pt Timah, PT Berdikari, PT Indosurya, and several supermarkets.

"They must pay fine 2 percent out of total tax every month if they missed the deadline," he said, Tuesday (8/4).

Administration Head of Gambir Local Tax Services Unit, Romy Fahrizal added that his side has provided an online payment system to simplify the payment process. Nevertheless, many companies remain reluctant to register.

“There are 30 out of 700 taxpayers who already registered. We back to remind them to immediately register at pajakonline.jakarta.go.id,” he stated.
