Street Vendors Begin to Rampant Along Mookervart River's Road Inspection

The existence of dozens of street vendors along the Mookervart River's Road Inspection, Daan Mogot, West Jakarta, starts unsettling local citizens. Considering citizens' activities is disturbed due to narrowing road. 

After the inspection road was installed with street lights, the road becomes crowded by street vendors

Based on beritajakarta.com observations, the street vendors are seen from Cengkareng Drain River Bridge until Rawa Buaya Sentra Market which include in RW 2, Rawa Buaya Urban Village, Cengkareng. 

Wednesday, 237 Asemka Street Vendors Relocated

"After the inspection road was installed with street lights, the road becomes crowded by street vendors. And it's getting crowded at night," complained one of RW 2 residents, Suryana (53), Saturday (8/8). 

Suryana hopes that the related unit would conduct a raid immediately. If not, the street vendor numbers would be increased. 

Head of West Jakarta Satpol PP, Kadiman Sitidjak mentioned his party has held street vendors raid on the location twice. According to him, majority of them are local citizens. 

"Nevertheless, we're still committed to intensify the raid in the near future," he asserted.
