Transaction of Non-Cash Jakarta Smart Card Reached Rp 40.38 B

A total number of non-cash Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) transaction until today is Rp 40.38 billion. From that number, was already been used to purchase school equipments which targeted by city administration.

Such transaction is valid based on the effectivity of the non-cash policy

Head of Jakarta Education Department, Arie Budhiman said that as much as 81 thousand transactions was done by KJP holder. Through non-cash policy, all the transaction of KJP holder can be recorded.

Meanwhile, there are 20 misuse transactions recorded. It has been investigated and clarified. As a result, 1 transaction was used properly and 19 other transactions misused.

From 20 transactions worth Rp 10,243,400, with details, 12 transactions are from Elementary School (SD) amounted to Rp 6,881,000, 2 transactions from Junior High School (SMP) Rp 1,150,000 and 6 transactions from Vocational School (SMK) Rp 2,212,000.

“Based on the result, the misused 9 Jakarta Smart Cards had been blocked. We did a meeting with Bank DKI Director, and we agreed to form a task force and then continued with socialization throughout the year,” he uttered.

Arie added that his side will not be in a hurry to report the case to the police. Because there must be strong evidence to entrap someone with banking crime. "We must be careful and unhurried reported to the police. Except the card handed to a third party and withdrawal cash and meet the banking crime,” he finished.
