Indeed, there are 47 percent schools damaged

Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T Purnama admitted that he already know about the condition and the reparation will be done gradually. “Indeed, there are 47 percent schools damaged,” he said, Wednesday (8/12).

City to Rehabilitate 56 School Buildings

Ahok conveyed school reparation is unoptimal. This is because the City Budget (APBD) was used to purchase the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) which reached Rp 1.2 billion. One of damaged schools in West Jakarta is 159 State Junior High School (SMAN) in West Jakarta. "That's why, why we purchase UPS, whereas this is not required," he stressed.

Starting this year, his party will be more careful to absorb APBD. The implementation of e-budgeting system itself is hoped able to minimize the stealth budget. One of damaged school in West Jakarta is State Junior High School (SMP), West Jakarta. The school side also requested that Jakarta Governor to visit their school to see the real condition of school. “We know it, we have the data also,” he uttered.

Head of Jakarta Education Department, Arie Budhiman added the proposal of school renovation will be realized in the upcoming 2106. He also suggests to divide the teaching and learning (KBM) process into two shifts. “We’ll propose it in the 2016 APBD,” he finished.
