The Beef Market Operation once again held in Bendungan Hilir (Benhil), Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (8/12). It opens at 8.30 AM-1 PM.

Head of Central Jakarta Marine, Agriculture, and Food Security Sub-Department, Mulyadi stated the market operation is a follow-up activity as concerning from 2 tons of beef sell merely sold 154 kilograms.

“ Yesterday, the market operation was indeed protested by traders. But today, we remain open it to lighten the resident's burden . We move the location near the previous location,” he said.

To avoid unwanted things, as much as 20 joint officers of Army/Police and Satpol PP are sent to safeguard the market operational.

Less than 2 hours, more than 100 kilograms of beef are sold out. With details, the fore shank thigh is sold by Rp 89 thousand/kilogram and round thigh Rp 85 thousand/kilogram. The price is cheaper than market price that reached Rp 120-140 thousand/kilogram.

Rukinah, (50), one of residents admitted she was happy, where the beef price is cheaper than the market price. She bought 2 kilograms of beef.

“The beef is cheaper than in market. Even we are difficult to buy meat because many traders refused to sell,” she finished.
