Women's Organization Appealed to Have Synergy with Government

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat want women's organizations such as the Welfare Family Movement (PKK), the Ladies' Association (DWP), and the Women's Organization Cooperation Board (BKOW) to participate helping the government's program making Jakarta to be child friendly area. As a support, the government will keep multiplying Child-Friendly Public Spaces (RPTRA).

RPTRA is very needed by mothers and children as a place to socialize and play

"RPTRA is very needed by mothers and children as a place to socialize and play for kids. Hence those women's organizations are very important to support the program," said Djarot during Halal bi Halal, PKK, DWP and BKOW in Convention Hall, Ancol, North Jakarta, Wednesday (8/12).

He told, the intensifying of RPTRA construction conducted by the government is not useless. From 34 provinces, Jakarta Provincial Government gained appreciation from central government as child friendly province. As for city level was gained by East Jakarta.

East Jakarta Won Child-Friendly City Award

Head of Jakarta TP PKK, Veronica Tan stated, all this time TP PKK has been working hard to go down helping poor without discriminating.

"All this time the government always side by side with PKK to help poor in the city as they're also family," she stated.

The government , she continued, this year as many as 50 RPTRAs will be built. Hopefully, those RPTRA would have theme thus citizens could interact for realizing Jakarta as modern, creative and cultured city.

"Therefore, it is hoped that women's organizations such as PKK, BKOW, DWP DKI to unite steps and embroidery for realizing prosperous family and community," she closed.
