City Keeps Pushing Tax Revenue

The City Administration keeps trying to increase revenues of 13 kinds of 2015 regional tax. Considering, the revenue target of those kinds of tax determined is amounted to Rp 36.06 trillion or about 52 percent of the total in 2015 City Budget (APBD). 

It's certainly a basic thing for Jakarta, that tax revenue is the only resource in the city

"It's certainly a basic thing for Jakarta, that tax revenue is the only resource in the city," said Vice Head of Jakarta Tax Service Department, Djuli Zulkarnaen, after the opening of Role Model Week for the collection of Urban and Rural Land and Building Tax (PBB P2) in West Jakarta Mayor Office, Tuesday (8/18). 

He disclosed, the PBB revenue target this year is Rp 8 trillion or 22.2 percent of those kinds of regional tax. While until August 18, 2015, it has reached Rp 1.92 trillion or about 24 percent. 

PBB Revenue in West Jakarta Only Reached 32.98 Percent

"As for West Jakarta, the revenue has reached Rp 341.9 billion or about 32.98 percent," he uttered

Zulkarnaen is optimistic the PBB P2 revenue in the city will increase sharply on the latest August 31. "Therefore, we appeal all taxpayers to do their obligation paying tax before the due date," he disclosed. 

The event of PBB P2 Role Model Week in West Jakarta was attended by the officials, hundreds of taxpayers both individual or company representatives. In that occasion West Jakarta Mayor, Anas Effendi gave charters of appreciation to 25 taxpayers that have pain tax, including PT Anthilope, Saint Moris, Setyagama, and Sumber Waras Hospital.
