Until April 2015, 154 Taxpayers Proposed Tax Payment Relief

It's majority in PBB. Principally it's not proposing objection, yet its substance requesting for the relief

The Jakarta Tax Service Department (DPP) recorded that until April 2015, there are 154 taxpayers proposing for a tax payment relief. Its proposal is majority for land and building tax (PBB) that proposed by the veterans, army, as well as civil servant pensioners and underprivileged people.

"It's majority in PBB. Principally, this is not proposing objection, yet its substance requesting for the relief," said Head of UPT Deductions and Tax Appeals for Jakarta Tax Service Department, Arief Susilo, Monday (5/18). 

PBB Deadbeat Dealt Firmly

Susilo stated, the taxpayers who are objected for PBB determination could request the deduction in accordance to Gubernatorial Regulation No. 211/2012 on Provision of Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax Deduction. "PBB deduction proposal has been facilitated on the regulation," he explained.

Former Head of Regulatory and Tax Counseling Division for Jakarta Tax Service Department disclosed on the regulation, is set the tax deduction for taxpayers of underprivileged people could be given maximum 5 percent. "With condition, they should be completely underprivileged by attaching relief letter (SKTM) from urban village and sub-district thus it can be processed. 

Meanwhile, he continued for veterans, army and civil servants pensioners are given discount for PBB fare charge up to 75 percent due to considered have contributed to the country. "We give fare discount of PBB up to 75 percent for veterans, army and civil servant pensioners as they have contributed to the country," he disclosed. 

According to him, based on the record until April 2015 ago, there were 154 taxpayers requesting for discount of PBB to Regional Tax Service Unit (UUPD) in all over sub-district office in the city. 

"Objection proposal can be proposed directly to our UUPD in each sub-district. The service is free. If our staffs collecting fees, it means they have violated the rules and will be sanctioned," he asserted.
