The residents of Kampung Pulo, Kampung Melayu Urban Village, Jatinegara, East Jakarta involved in a clash with Satpol PP, Thursday (8/20). The clash happened because the local residents denied to be relocated.

Based on beritajakarta.com observation, the clash occured at 8.25 AM. It started when the personnel of Satpol PP, police, and Army came to the scene from Jalan Tongtek toward Jalan Jatinegara Barat were blocked by the residents near RW 03 post of Kampung Melayu urban Village.
The situation was getting chaotic when the operator tried to turn on the buldozer engine. The residents also tried to stop it.

Jupan Royter, Satpol PP Deputy, said the clash was provoked by residents who refused relocation. But, his personnel did not react much.
"They tried to provoke us, but we still calm down," he said.
Meanwhile, thousands of personnel were deployed to the scene to secure the location.
