Mesin di Rumah Pompa Kali Ancol Berfungsi dengan Baik

Pump House's Machines in Ancol River Working Well

The existence of two pump houses along Ancol River, Pademangan, North Jakarta, is very vital to handle puddles along Jalan R.E Martadinata and Lodan Raya. One of them is Ancol Station Pump.

There are three water vacuum machines in the station pump. One of them has 2,500 liters capacity per second and the rest are 5,000 liters per second. And they still work well

Based on beritajakarta.com observations, the pump houses that contain 3 pumps also functioned as a trash net seem quite maintained and work well. But its sluice gate cover looks rusty as it has been old.

"There are three water vacuum machines in the station pump. One of them has 2,500 liters capacity per second and the rest are 5,000 liters per second. And they still work well," said M Idris (40), an operator of Ancol Station Pump.

He told, the river needs to be dredged as the sediment has been high.

"But the dredging did not maximal. We do this because its impact can reserve much water debit to prevent flood," he disclosed.

Similar condition also occurs in Lodan Raya Pump House.

Dance, (65), an operator of the pump house stated that the function of three pump machines are working well.

"It would be ready to handle flood in Ancol," he stated.

He added those pumps are for vacuuming the river water when the level is high then disposed to Krapu River.
