390 Households in Bukit Duri will Be relocated Soon

Hundreds of households living on west side of Ciliwung River, Bukit Duri Urban Village, South Jakarta, will be relocated. As the location, will also be impacted by the river normalization.

Only a few of them have the certificate. For the relocation, it depends on Housing and Government's Building Department

"Of temporary data collection, there are 247 lands occupied by 390 households with estimation of 1,000 people," said Bukit Duri Urban Village Head, Mardi, Wednesday (8/26).

According to him, the residents who live in RW 10, 11, 12 always get flooded. "Flood in those Rws is the worst," he uttered.

Building Demolishment Could Increase PAD

However, he cannot ensure the exact time of the relocation. "We're waiting direction from the government, that is South Jakarta Mayor to hold socialization to the residents. The demolishment time is not decided yet," he explained.

He disclosed, of 247 lands, only a few of them have land certificate. "Only a few of them have the certificate. For the relocation, it depends on Housing and Government's Building Department," he uttered.

Meanwhile, Suwarno (59) Head of RT 06/10 Bukit Duri told, the socialization was planned to be held in last June 2015. But it was cancelled without obvious reason. "There are 8 RTs will be informed. As for mine there are 25 households will be demolished," he explained.
