Petak Sembilan Residents Received Staple Food Aid

The Dharma Sakti Monastery management gave aid in the form of staple food to the needy living in Petak Sembilan area, Glodok, Taman Sari, West Jakarta, Friday (8/28).

It is in the framework of the commemoration of Imlek's Cioko Ulambama Day. "We previously did various activities such as joint prayer for the salvation of the nation. The main activity is by distributing aid for the needy," said Caretaker of Dharma Sakti Monastery, Djonsen Salim, Friday (8/28).

Salim explains the aid is routinely done every year by involving urban village apparatus. "It's dedicated to the needy, like orphan and elderly," he expressed.

Children of Fire Victim Received Aid

He went the say that this charitable activity has been done for decades without seeing the race, ethnicity and religion. It can be accomplished over the pilgrim donation from Dharma Sakti Monastery and Santoso Foundation.

"We're just distributor here," he told.
