Ahead of Eid-al Adha, North Jakarta Administration provides 125 animal examiner to perform sacrificial animals’ health test for the sake of qurban animal quality.
This is as a consumer protection when they buy an animal
Head of North Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food
Security Sub-Department (KPKP) Una Rusmana acknowledged, the animal
should be in good condition and healthy.
“This is as a consumer protection
when they buy an animal,” he stated, Thursday (9/3).
The examiners are roaming around to
check the animal in animal shelters. The examiners comprised of of Maritime,
Agriculture, and Food Security Sub-Department/Department, Indonesian
Veterinarians Association (PDHI), Livestock Directorate General and
University student.
“In last year examination, as many
as 80 out of 5,789 animals found suffering disease,” he disclosed.
